MEDAN
Today pick up by our Guide then transfer to city tour. City tour takes two times a day : 08.00 am until 12.00 pm (local time) or 14.00 pm until 18.00 pm (local time). In this trip we will visit some tourism places in Medan, such as :
1. Maimoon Palace
Maimoon Palace is a famous landmark in Medan. It is often written as Istana Maimoon, Istana Maimoen and Istana Maimun, and is located at Jalan Brig. Jend. Katamso, Medan. Maimoon Palace was built by the Sultan of Deli, Sultan Makmun Al Rasyid Perkasa Alamsyah, in 1888. The Sultanate of Deli is one of the two sultanates in northern Sumatra in the 19th century, the other being Acheh. The palace, which is a two storey structure, has 30 rooms and inclusive the grounds, cover an area of 2772 sq meters.
2. Rahmat International Wildlife Museum & Gallery
This is well-kept private museum of its own kind. It displays 400 stuffed animals, most of them shot by the owner, a prominent Medan businessman and sports hunter. The aim is officially conservation and education. It is interesting if you like dead animals. It was established in 1999
3. Crocodile Farm
There is a crocodile farm in Asam Kumbang Village, 10 kkm from downtown Medan. There are approximately 2.400 crocodiles of two different kinds (Crocodilus polosus and Tomistona sehlegeli). The oldest crocodile is 41 years old and 6m long. Small shows are arranged upon request with monkeys fetching food from a crocodile's mouth. You can also have your photo taken when being intimate with a crocodile.
4. Balai Kota Building
Today Balai Kota Building is the one of Medan's icon and also a histories building in Medan.
